At the post office

1) To mail a letter you need:

1) an envelope
2) send-to address
3) your address
4) stamps




2) Then you need to find ...

a mail box. 







The top of the mail box opens.
You can only put a letter in the mail box. You cannot put a package in the mail box.

The top of the mail box shows the days and times the mail is picked up or collected.


3) At the post office you can:
1) mail letters
2) mail packages
3) buy stamps
4) buy boxes to mail things in
5) get money orders
6) get your mail:



 In the post office:

• postal worker:  Hello, how can I help you?
• customer: I want mail a package to my parents. They live in _____. What do I need?
• postal worker:  You need a box and a custom's form. Here is the custom's form.


• customer: Thank you. 
• postal worker:  Please remember to print on the form.
• customer: I need to buy a box, please.
• postal worker:  The boxes are over there. The plain boxes are free.  The ones with patterns you pay for. 

• customer: O.K. Thank you. 
• postal worker:  Is there anything fragile, liquid, perishable or potentially hazardous?
• customer: No.
• postal worker:  Do you need stamps or anything else today?
• customer: No, thank you.
